Musculoskeletal Disorders among Agricultural Workers of Various Cultivation Activities in Upper Northeastern Thailand

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are the most significant work-related health conditions that experienced by agricultural workers. This cross-sectional study has investigated MSDs among agriculturalists in upper northeastern Thailand. We assessed types of MSDs, their severity, and frequency. There were 889 cultivating from four provinces who participated this study. The majority participants reported experiencing mild levels (60.48%). Predominantly, farmers working on cassava, vegetable, sugarcane plantations severe knees/calves (22.40%). rice plantation workers largest number complaints. rubber fields more likely to feel knee/calf pain (OR = 1.59, 95% CI 1.05–2.39) lower limb 1.97, 1.35–2.89) than those tobacco plantations. individuals fruit, corn also report 1.48, 1.01–2.17) 1.37–2.84) found activities affected many parts bodies. ergonomic risk needs be order inform implications improve well-being reduce risks MSDs.
